Taylor + Grant’s Timeless Wedding at The Mason Dallas
Taylor and Grant’s wedding at The Mason Dallas was the perfect day! Their day felt elevated while still having so much personality!
The Mason created such a beautiful backdrop for their entire celebration. The historic details and grand chandeliers gave everything a classic feel. Later in the evening the same spaces completely transformed once everyone filled the dance floor!
This is exactly the kind of wedding I love to photograph!
A Timeless Wedding at The Mason Dallas
The Mason is one of my favorite Dallas wedding venues! There is so much character already built into the space which makes it incredible to photograph.
Taylor kept her bridal look classic with a structured white gown and soft half-up hair and Grant wore a traditional black tux. Their looks felt timeless and fit The Mason perfectly.
Their reception design carried that same feeling into the evening where long tables were filled with candlelight and soft florals.
A Wedding Day That Was Actually Lived
One of my favorite things about Taylor and Grant’s wedding was how much of the day felt like it was actually being experienced.
Of course we made time for portraits and all of the photographs you expect to have from your wedding day. But some of my favorites came once everyone was simply enjoying themselves!
Guests toasted across the dinner tables. Taylor and Grant sat tucked together during the reception. Family members filled the dance floor. Drinks were passed around as the party started to pick up.
Those moments can’t really be recreated.
My job is to recognize them while they’re happening and preserve them without changing them.
The reception is where Taylor and Grant’s gallery really started to take on a documentary feel!
Their first dance took place beneath one of The Mason’s incredible chandeliers with everyone gathered around them. From there the night became less about formal photographs and more about documenting the people in the room.
There were hugs and champagne glasses. There were people dancing with drinks still in their hands. Family members were completely losing themselves on the dance floor!
Some images are polished and composed. Others are grainy black and white frames that feel like they could have been pulled from a box of old family photographs.
I LOVE having both.
A wedding gallery shouldn’t only show what everything looked like. It should remind you who was there and how it felt to celebrate with them.
The Little Details
Taylor and Grant incorporated so many details that made the evening feel special!
Their classic white cake had the prettiest piped detailing. They cut it together with champagne coupes waiting right beside them.
Cocktails were passed throughout the evening and the candlelit tables stayed glowing in the background. Every part of the reception felt warm and inviting.
These smaller details are always worth photographing. They help tell the full story of the day without becoming the entire story.
Because as beautiful as the tables and flowers are, the people sitting around them matter even more!
The Send Off
Taylor and Grant couldn’t have ended their wedding at The Mason in a better way!
Guests gathered outside to send them off before they climbed into a vintage car together.
Some of my favorite photographs from the entire wedding happened in those last few minutes. Taylor and Grant kissed inside the car before popping up through the roof to wave goodbye to everyone!
It was joyful and a little chaotic in the best way.
The PERFECT ending to their wedding day!

Its historic interiors create an incredible setting for classic wedding portraits. The chandeliers and architectural details give reception photographs so much depth. Once the party starts the space also lends itself beautifully to flash photography and a more documentary approach.

I want to create the photographs that feel worthy of a frame in your home. I also want to document the ones you didn’t even realize were happening.
The way your grandparents danced together.
Your friends cheering from across the room.
The champagne glasses left on the table after dinner.
The way you looked at each other when you finally had a second to sit down.
